Initiation of Operation Kaalnemi

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has announced the commencement of Operation Kaalnemi aimed at tackling individuals who impersonate saints to commit fraud. CM Dhami emphasized that those who exploit Sanatan Dharma for deceitful purposes and manipulate the faith of individuals will face severe consequences.

Recently, there have been numerous reports in the state regarding antisocial elements posing as saints and defrauding people, particularly targeting women. In response to these alarming incidents, the Chief Minister has directed authorities to launch Operation Kaalnemi against these offenders.

He pointed out that such fraudulent activities not only offend the religious sentiments of the populace but also undermine social harmony and tarnish the reputation of Sanatan Dharma. The government will take stringent action against anyone involved in these acts, irrespective of their religious affiliation.

CM Dhami drew a parallel between the current situation and the mythological demon Kaalnemi, who once deceived people by masquerading as a saint. He stated that many such 'Kaalnemis' are currently operating in society, committing crimes under the guise of religion. The state government is dedicated to protecting public sentiments, upholding the dignity of Sanatan culture, and ensuring social harmony. Anyone spreading deceit in the name of faith will not be tolerated.

He remarked, 'Our state is known as Devbhoomi, the land of gods. The residents here are inherently innocent and simple. Unfortunately, some antisocial elements are exploiting this innocence by masquerading as saints to deceive the public. The police and administration have been instructed to identify these individuals and initiate Operation Kaalnemi to apprehend them.'
